Dirty Sex

Could anybody tell me since when is sex a dirty word? It seems that Malaysian TV stations have censored sex and other such words i.e. intercourse, fornicate, screw etc. I understand censoring fuck as it is a four letter word but sex? Sometimes the logic of the local censor boards is hard to fathom. Well, most of the times rather than sometimes.

I guess Malaysians are not able to use words describing sex anymore. Hence, maybe the reason behind it is so that Malaysians do not talk about sex. Do Malaysians talk too much about sex? However talking too much about sex and not being able to talk about sex are two totally different things.

I do not blame people buying pirated DVDs and downloading shows off the internet. That’s the only way you can get to see a show without every fourth word being bleeped. Terrestrial TV stations in the UAE are even more liberal.

So here I would like to implore the Malaysian censors and TV stations to be more intelligent in their censoring. Look up words, vulgar words usually have indication that it is so in the dictionary. Sheesh!

Of early weekends and getting enough sleep…

Aseansummit
Okay it’s been a week since I have been at the shiny new Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) for the 11th ASEAN Summit. My job description for the summit is technical adviser to the rapporteuring group. Waaaaa… you might say, but believe me it’s not really so difficult. Just have to cope with the long hours and early mornings. Hence the lack of sleep. Although I had a good night’s sleep last night.

They serve four square meals everyday to the secretariat. So, I am keeping myself well fed. Too well fed in fact, I think I need to jog a few round at the jogging track in front. Yeah that might happen.

Well, I plan to have a relaxing afternoon today. Later, I’m going to Suria, KLCC to have a cup of tea and laze about. See you there definately maybe…

And I do plan to take my unrecorded leave and start the weekend early.

Until next time, see you on the spin side…

Of procrastinations and exams

Sunday, December 4th, 2005

Help… I am having my exams on Monday and Tuesday and I just found out about it last Wednesday. The procrastination this time wasn’t fully my fault. I haven’t had to sit for an exam since 1999. What did I always do in this situation? Panic comes to mind this time.

Anyway wish me luck and pray for my success.
