Special Day?
Carpe diem!
Somebody mentioned to me that my birthday this year was special because
of the date 20.07.2007. I agree totally. Well it is a wee bit special this year, although my birthdays are always special for me.
This year is special because its my 35th and it’s on 20.07.2007. Next
year insyallah when I celebrate my birthday, it will be special too, as it is my 36th and it’s on
20.07.2008.
I realised long ago that every moment is special. No two moments are the
same. It doesn’t matter if its 07.07.07, 20.07.2007, whatever your birthday is on,
or even now when you are reading this. That moment/hour/day if wasted will never
come again. So it is up to you to make it special.
So did I make my birthday special. I think I did. It was fulfilling. It could be better but it could be a whole lot worse. For details on what I did, if you really need to know ask me about it the next time you see me.
However a brief summary of my day today would be, restful morning, sought forgiveness (asked for a chance to seek forgiveness and was given the chance - that was a small miracle in itself), nice lunch, an afternoon doing nothing and most of the things that I like at the same time (TV, reading, writing, venting), retail therapy (books) and dinner at my usual hangout place.
And finally a reminder for myself, that I make today better than yesterday and tomorrow better than today.
